Blossoming Mother Counselling specializes in counselling for new moms and moms-to-be. All counselling sessions are offered online over Skype, the modern, convenient counselling experience.

Katherine Aucoin is a mother and a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada.  She offers you caring, confidential emotional support and resources during your transition to motherhood.  Katherine works with clients from around the world to support them during what can be, for many, a very challenging time.

It is common that challenges arise for new or expectant moms, such as overwhelm, fear, sadness, relationship difficulties, pregnancy or birth complications, and difficulties adjusting to new motherhood, among many others. Prenatal and post-partum depression and anxiety are on the rise and it is so important to face emotional challenges early on, before they become a full-blown crisis. With timely emotional support, it is possible not only to survive but THRIVE during your transition to motherhood. Taking care of your own emotional well-being has the ripple effect of helping your family and community, as well.  Often difficult or destructive emotional patterns can be passed down from generation to generation, and can come to the forefront during the transition to motherhood.  This stage of life is a prime opportunity to face those patterns, move beyond them, and allow for a new sense of freedom for yourself and your children.

Counselling sessions involve setting a goal for a new experience of your life, exploring current challenges as they relate to past experiences from childhood, as well as practical support for handling day-to-day life.

Katherine believes that any obstacle can be perceived as an opportunity for personal growth and evolution. All feelings are accepted and welcomed as part of fully experiencing your humanity, and feeling fully alive!
