Strollers have either a BOB®, Ironman®, or Stroller Strides® logo embroidered on the canopy(s) with backing material.
|
In rare instances, it is possible for a child to remove the embroidery backing of the embroidered logo on the stroller canopy and put this material into their mouth, posing a potential choking hazard. The firm has received six reports of children gaining access to, removing and inserting into their mouth, the embroidery backing of the stroller canopy's embroidered logo while seated in an infant car seat that has been attached to a B.O.B.® Infant Car Seat Adapter. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled strollers until they remove the embroidery backing from the canopy's embroidered logo. September 29, 2011 Toy Workshop Sets and Tool Sets by Little TikesTM . This recall involves the toy nails sold as part of 11 additional models of Little Tikes® Workshop and tool sets listed below. The plastic toy nails are either red or blue, and are 8 centimetres (3 1/4 inches) long by 3 centimetres (1 1/4 inches) in diameter. The nails have a round head. Approximately 3 centimetres (1 1/4 inches) below the head is a plastic ridge, slightly smaller than the nail head and about 2.5 centimetres (1 inch) in diameter.
|
The oversized plastic toy nails can pose a choking hazard to young children. September 29, 2011 Various Drop-side cribs by Shermag Inc. This recall involves wooden drop-side cribs with hidden drop-side hardware. The cribs were sold in various colors. Model numbers 202647, 211047 and 272547 are subject to this recall. The cribs were sold separately and as part of the "Claire de Lune," "Fairy Tales" and "Dormez Vous" furniture collections. "Shermag" is located on a tag on the mattress springs. The model numbers can be found on stickers and warning labels on the crib's headboard or footboard.
|
The drop-side rail hardware on the cribs can break or fail, allowing the drop side to detach from the crib. When the drop side detaches, a hazardous gap is created between the drop-side rail and the crib mattress in which infants and toddlers can become wedged or entrapped, posing risks of suffocation and strangulation. In addition, children can fall out of the crib when the drop-side rail falls unexpectedly or detaches from the crib. Drop-side rail failures can also occur due to incorrect assembly or with age-related wear and tear. CPSC and the firm are aware of 21 incidents involving drop sides that failed or detached. No injuries have been reported. Consumers should carefully examine the drop-side rail hardware for any signs of damage. If consumers determine that the drop-side hardware is broken, loose, missing, or deformed or that there are any other reasons for concern, consumers should immediately stop using the recalled cribs and find an alternative safe sleeping environment for their baby. Any consumer with a crib subject to this recall should contact Shermag to receive a free repair kit that converts the drop-side of the crib to a fixed side. For more information, consumers may contact Shermag Inc. at 1-800-567-3419, from Monday to Friday between 9AM and 5PM ET or send an email or visit the firm's website.

June 23, 2011 Britax B-Nimble Umbrella Stroller. Britax B-Nimble stroller is a single seat umbrella stroller and has the following product codes:
· U311771 (red)
· U311773 (green)
· U311775 (cowmooflage)
· U311780 (silver-black)
The name "Britax" can be found on the front. On the stroller frame, near the storage basket, there should be a white label on each side of the stroller with the stroller model numbers, batch numbers and date of manufacture. The strollers brake may produce an audible click when initially engaged and the brake pedal may remain depressed even though the brake has not fully engaged or locked. It may be necessary to continue to depress the brake pedal beyond the moment of the audible click to achieve full brake function. The initial click may create the false impression with the consumer that the brake is engaged. Consumers should immediately contact Britax to receive a free replacement stroller. Until the new replacement stroller is received, Britax recommends the continued use of the stroller but advises consumers to verify that the pedal is completely depressed and confirm that the brake is fully engaged, regardless of the audible click, every time the brake system is used. For more information, consumers may contact Britax Customer Service at 1-800-683-2045. Consumers who have not registered their product or need to verify existing registration should contact the Britax information line, toll free at 1-888-427-4829 or visit http://www.britax.com. April 6, 2011 Chikitoe-brand Baby Sleepers. This recall involves 100% cotton baby sleepers sold under the brand name "Chikitoe". Consumers should immediately take the recalled sleepwear away from children and dispose of it in regular household garbage.
